"Ashtanga" Yoga Teacher -2013
I started in the Natural Therapy field following High School in 1992, obtaining my Diploma in Remedial Therapy and after one year I started working in the field. I continued my studies, gaining a Naturopathy Diploma, including nutrition, homeopathy, and iridology. In my fifth year of studies, I started my Honours in Herbal Medicine, which still remains one of my passions. At this time, I also had the honour of working alongside my mentor, George Papas for 2 years and learning about the art of Osteopathy. During my sixth and final year, I started my Post-Grad in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. I have completed a teacher-trainer course in Ashtanga Yoga to better assist my patients with their muscular skeletal injuries. I hope to open up my own Yoga centre in Belmont in the next year!
This has been my complete journey in the field and through many years of experience, it has allowed me to become the complete healer I am today. Working in this field since 1993, I have treated over 20,000 patients and I am still as happy and passionate today as I was then, to be in the Clinicians role, helping many people every day with their personal problems.
Ad. Dip Acu; Dip Rem Massage
My passion for massage and acupuncture came from my own experiences with lower back pain. As something that plagued me for over 10 years, I decided it was time to learn how to fix my own physical ailments. In 1985, I became a qualified Swedish Massage Therapist and since then have developed a strong interest in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. I hold a Diploma in Remedial Massage, an Advanced Diploma in Acupuncture and Chinese Massage. My treatments combine a number of techniques including trigger point therapy, cupping, dry needling, and moxibustion. Over the years, I have seen firsthand the effectiveness of my treatments in relieving pain and stress, assisting in fertility and stopping smoking among my patients.
Before coming to Australia, I worked for 5 years as a Massage Therapist in a Sport Clinic in Poland. I then moved to the UK and shifted my focus on treating private clients outside of a clinic environment. Since my time in Australia, I have graduated as a Remedial Massage Therapist at the Australian Institute of Fitness and was privileged enough to work with the Melbourne Victory Team during my studies. I use a range of techniques in my massages to assist with rehabilitation and sport injury treatment, including effleurage, sport massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release technique and muscle energy technique. I am passionate about helping my clients achieve health and wellbeing and providing helpful lifestyle and nutritional advice whenever it is sought or required.
Coming from a dance background, I have always been interested in the body and the way we heal. When my mother got sick with Cancer, I did a lot of research into Natural Therapies and tried to find ways I could help her and my family. After losing her, I found Massage and Naturopathy to be a huge benefit to help my mind and body with the stress of grief and depression. I decided to study Massage so I can help others with the same problems I have had. I am now qualified with a Cert IV in Sports and Fitness Massage and a Diploma in Remedial Massage. I use techniques such as Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release Techniques and Muscle Energy Techniques. I like to concentrate on the Face, Head and Feet and always end my Massages at these points. I am planning to study more Techniques such as Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage and Dry Needling.

Dr Shane Sutherland
Dr Shane Sutherland grew up in Bunbury and is a recent graduate of Murdoch University, having a keen interest in both traditional and sports Chiropractic. His treatments involve assessing the balance of joint, nerve and muscle in your spine and how they impact on your function in every day life. Shane is proficient in many forms of both new and old Chiropractic techniques, including Graston and ART, while developing his skills in Activator, SOT and Thompson. This allows him to provide a multi-modal approach to improving your health, and allows him to switch between both intense and gentle treatments whilst still obtaining the results you desire. Shane believes strongly in patient interaction and education - he will explain to you what is occurring with your posture and your symptoms, and give you an active role in improving and maintaining your body. Shane has worked several months under Bryan and alongside the team and is able to combine his treatments with the other therapists for maximum patient benefit.
